A seasoned leader in responsible gambling policy, public advocacy, and government relations, Doura-Schawohl brings an unparalleled wealth of experience to the organization.
Doura-Schawohl is the Founder and CEO of Doura-Schawohl Consulting LLC, a boutique global government relations firm specializing in responsible gambling policy and problem gambling advocacy. With over a decade of experience influencing policy at the federal, state, and international levels, she has successfully collaborated with governments, regulators, and private stakeholders to drive meaningful change in gambling harm prevention.
Her impressive career includes pivotal roles such as Vice President of US Policy and Strategic Development for EPIC Global Solutions, as well as Legislative Director for the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG). Recognized for her transformative approach to player protection and policy innovation, Doura-Schawohl has earned numerous accolades, including being named a “Top Lobbyist” by The Hill for three consecutive years, one of the “25 People to Watch” in 2022 by Global Gaming Business, one of the top 10 most influential women in gaming in 2023 by iGaming Business, and a 40 Under 40 “Emerging Leader in Gaming.”

Her advocacy extends to the military, where she has served on the NCPG’s Military Affairs Committee, currently serves on KRI’s Military Gambling Awareness Committee, and was instrumental in passing federal legislation to screen active-duty members for gambling problems, addressing the unique challenges faced by service members and veterans.
