Laura Knaster Joins Kindbridge Research Institute to Enhance Community Engagement and Fundraising in Colorado

Denver, CO, January 3, 2024 – The Kindbridge Research Institute (KRI) is thrilled to announce the addition of Laura Knaster as the new Director of Community Relations and Fundraising. With her extensive background in communications and non-profit leadership, Laura is set to revolutionize the Institute’s community engagement and funding initiatives across Colorado.

Laura brings to KRI a wealth of experience in strategic messaging and design thinking. Her exceptional skills in storytelling and convening make her the ideal candidate to enhance the communication of the Institute’s research findings and projects within the Colorado community. Moreover, her expertise will be pivotal in developing sustainable funding sources, a critical step for KRI’s growth and expansion in the state.

Daniel Umfleet, Vice-Chair of the KRI Board, expressed his enthusiasm about Laura’s appointment: “We are incredibly fortunate to have Laura join our team. Laura Knaster, a Colorado native, is an alumna of the University of Colorado, where she graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Communication. She also holds a Master’s degree in Design Management and Communications from Georgetown University. Her career has spanned various roles, from management consulting to leading non-profit initiatives, always focusing on creating compelling narratives and building holistic alliances.

In her statement, Laura shared her vision for her new role: “Joining the Kindbridge Research Institute is a homecoming for me in many ways. I am excited to leverage my experience in building meaningful connections and narratives to support KRI’s mission.
